To research a given topic, click on the the corresponding button to access the research site. Each button refers to an academic department at Thacher. Each department is further sub-divided into more specific subjects to expedite research.

This site is designed to provide Thacher students with a starting point in researching materials on the Internet (World Wide Web, Gopher, & USENET) without having to spend extra time using search engines and to help avoid dead end searches. This is also a great place for beginning Internet researchers to find useful materials with as little confusion as possible. What you see here is about half a school year's worth of searching, programming, and designing. We evaluated various sites, implemented the URL's into our HTML documents, dealt with many design issues (even of the HTML code as well), and created some of the featured artwork. We hope that you find this site helpful in your academic endeavors.

We have also posted our research papers. Feel free to read Brady's Senior Exhibition Paper or Larry's Senior Exhibition Paper.

And if you really cannot find what your looking for here are all the major search engines. Good luck.

We highly recommend Magellan Internet Guide, Point, and Lycos' a2z to start searching. All have pre-catalogued sites that are well organized, are accompanied by concise and informative descriptions, and are even rated.
